Celebrating Strength, Music, and Community: Our End of Summer Bash at Wasatch Truss

At Wasatch Truss, we talk a lot about structural integrity, load-bearing strength, and reliable support systems. But last Thursday afternoon, we gathered at the plant to celebrate a completely different kind of strength, the resilience of the human spirit and the power of a supportive team.

On Thursday, August 27th, the location took a well-deserved pause for an End-of-Summer Ice Cream Bash. It was an opportunity to cool off, share some laughs, and close out a busy summer season together. However, this gathering carried a much deeper meaning for our entire Wasatch Truss family.

A Milestone Celebration for General Manager Steve A. Richins

The afternoon served as a special celebration for our General Manager, Steve A. Richins, who officially marked the completion of his cancer treatments.

Throughout his journey, Steve leaned heavily into music as a source of strength and healing. To honor the milestone and show appreciation to the crew, Steve brought his musical gear to the plant and performed a few songs he mastered during his battle.

Our shop in Spanish Fork is filled with computerized saws, heavy equipment, and dedicated craftsmen working hard every day to build Utah’s roof and floor systems. But beneath the sawdust and horsepower is a tight-knit community that lifts one another up when life gets heavy.

Watching Steve perform among the team was a powerful reminder of what makes our company culture special. The encouragement, positive energy, and everyday camaraderie shared across our team aren’t just workplace perks, they are the foundation of who we are.

To Steve: congratulations on finishing your treatments. Your perseverance inspires every single one of us.
